If Pep Guardiola made fun of Gabriel Jesus last week for a missed chance, now it was the Spanish coach’s turn to exalt the Brazilian striker. But the praise did not come just because of the two goals scored by Jesus in the 4-1 victory over Wolverhampton.

“You can’t imagine how happy we are when Gabriel manages to score the goals he makes. You can’t imagine how many things, that people don’t realize, he does for the team. As he helps us in our first pressure and intensity, he is a sensational guy” said Guardiola of Jesus, who scored 11 goals and three assists in 27 games for City in all competitions this season.

The rout over the Wolves was Manchester City’s 21st consecutive victory, which now has a 15-point advantage over Manchester United, in second place, in the English Premier League. The two rivals will face each other next Sunday.
